Thanks to everyone who joined us at the coffee break action before negotiations yesterday! We had a productive meeting; we reached a tentative agreement (TA’d) on Credit for Past Service, which is an article that allows former temporary workers who join the union to get credit for the hours they worked as temps and also allows former employees who leave and return to get credit for previous service. We also TA’ed on Work Hours and Duties, which outlines work hours, overtime, non-standard schedules, and telecommuting and teleworking. We submitted counter-proposals on compensation, benefits, job review, and performance evaluation.
We hope you can join us for our next action on May 1 at noon. We have surpassed 1,000 signatures on our online petition and will be delivering it to the president’s office. There will be a rally outside of Ansin and a select group will deliver the petition. Let a negotiations team member know if you can attend.
